Sheen Community Fund

At a glance

For over 36 years, the Sheen Community Fund (SCF) has raised over $5.5 million to support kids and youth in less fortunate circumstances. In the past year, thanks to the generosity of its supporters, Sheen Community Fund has raised over $280,000, continuing its positive impact in the community.

Looking toward 2025, SCF are reaching out to you for your continued support in helping meet the goal of $500,000. SCF is excited to share some of the impactful programs they’ve planned to play their part within the community. With your support, Sheen Community Fund can continue to make a difference in the lives of children and youth in need.

Here’s a preview of Sheen Community Fund's 2025 program:

Good Friday Appeal – SCF has pledged $25,000 to the Good Friday Appeal. These funds are going directly towards a Terumo Spectra Optia Apheresis System that performs a wide range of procedures, including stem cell collection, red cell exchange and plasma exchange that can be used in the treatment of sickle cell disease, leukaemia, cancers and brain tumours, kidney and neurological diseases.

SCF Golf Day – Building on the success of its inaugural event in 2024, SCF held the second Sheen Community Fund Golf Day in March 2025. The funds raised have been instrumental in providing a Specialised Assistance Dog for a 9-year-old boy, significantly enhancing his quality of life and allowing him the opportunity to engage more intentionally with the world beyond his bedroom.

Variety – the Children’s Charity – dedicated to help kids be kids, by offering a broad range of support to sick and disadvantaged children. SCF remain committed to supporting Variety through the annual Variety Bash and Variety Kids’ Xmas Party amongst other collaborative efforts. The AFL Grand Final Lunch also returns in 2025 with Sheen's honourable contribution as naming right sponsors. SCF also are excited to host multiple Bike for Kids Programs and give the gift of independence to kids who need it most.

Our Village – A new chapter in the story of St Kilda, Geelong & Eureka Mums, a new 2025 partnership for the Sheen Community Fund. More than 1 in 6 children are living in poverty, Our Village collect and rehome essential baby and children’s items. Sheen Community Fund look forward to supporting various appeals.
